Day 2 Copenhagen, Denmark - Tour Begins
Your tour opens in the beautiful city of Copenhagen. Take some time to explore on your own and come to know this cosmopolitan capital, dubbed the “gastro capital of Scandinavia.” Tonight, meet your fellow travelers at a welcome dinner.

Scandinavia Map Day 3 Copenhagen
Join a local expert for an engaging city tour. View Denmark’s center of Parliament, known as Christianborg; Amalienborg Palace, the residence of the Danish royal family; and the Royal Theater. You’ll also see the Little Mermaid Statue, a 1913 sculpture honoring Hans Christian Andersen’s famous fictional character. The afternoon is at leisure. Perhaps you’ll join us for an optional excursion for lunch and a visit to Frederiksborg Castle; begin with lunch at a local restaurant featuring seasonally inspired cuisine before touring the castle, formerly the residence of the Danish royal family.

Day 5 Vaxjo - Stockholm
Continue north to Sweden’s capital city of Stockholm. En route, stop to explore the one-of-a-kind Vasa Ship Museum and learn about its shocking maiden voyage when it sank in one nautical mile. This ship, commissioned in the 1600s by King Vasa, was raised 334 years later from the bottom of the harbor. Perfectly preserved, it offers a rare glimpse into the amazing craftsmanship of the 17th century. This afternoon, it’s your choice! Choose to explore the narrow streets of Gamle Stan (Old Town) during a guided walking tour with a stop at one of Sweden’s sweetest traditions, a candy cane making factory, for a demonstration. Or you may choose to see the city on a panoramic city tour via coach viewing the Riddarholm Church, the Royal Palace and the Parliament, as well as a visit inside Stockholm’s beautiful city hall. Tonight, enjoy dinner in the old town at Fem Sma Hus. This stunning restaurant, comprised of five connected timber-framed houses from the 17th century, captures the flavor of a bygone era.

Day 6 Stockholm
The day is yours to explore Stockholm at your leisure. Take some time to discover its strikingly colorful architecture and sample its innovative cuisine. Day 7 Stockholm - High Speed Train - Oslo, Norway
All aboard! Sit back, relax and enjoy as you travel through Sweden’s picturesque countryside aboard the innovative high-speed train. Cross the Norwegian border and arrive in Oslo, one of Europe’s fastest-growing cities, nestled between the Oslofjord and forested hills. Norway’s capital since 1814, Oslo is the center of Norwegian government and home to its royal family. Day 8 Oslo
A tour of Oslo begins at the remarkable Viking Ship Museum, home of three ancient Viking ships. Continue along Karl Johan Street and view the Royal Palace and city hall in quaint downtown Oslo. Next, visit Vigeland Park which holds the collection of statues and sculptures that comprise Gustav Vigeland's life’s work. Later this afternoon, enjoy time to relax or explore independently.

Day 9 Oslo - Flam
Depart Norway’s capital and travel north to the majestic fjord region. Visit the Borgund Stave Church. This intricate structure, built in 1180, is dedicated to the Apostle Andrew. Arrive in the quaint village of Flam, nestled at the entrance to the stunning Aurlandsfjord. Embark on one of the world’s steepest train rides — the renowned Flam Railway — to ascend 3,000 feet, passing mighty waterfalls, towering mountains and amazing valleys. Journey to the mountain plateau of Myrdal and cascade down to the fjord of Flam offering breathtaking views each way.

Day 10 Flam - Loen
This morning travel across the dramatic Sognefjord to the Briksdal Glacier, considered to be one of the most beautiful glaciers in Norway. Tonight, join the hotel’s chef for an introduction to traditional Nordic cuisine prior to dinner.

Day 11 Loen - Geiranger - Fjord Cruise - Loen
Spend the day enchanted by the inspiring landscape of the fjord region of Norway. Journey to Geiranger, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and embark on an exhilarating Geirangerfjord cruise, taking in some of the most beautiful scenery in Norway along the way. Known as one of the most famous fjords in the world, Geirangerfjord is where you find Norway’s mighty waterfalls: the Seven Sisters, the Bridal Veil and the Suitor. Homesteads are a continued presence on the steep sides of the mountains, where farms have been kept for centuries.
