Days 1-2: USA or Canada / Istanbul, Turkey

Days 3-4: Istanbul
Spend two days exploring this magnificent city. Sightseeing will include the Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia and Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art. Travel toward the periphery of the ancient city to view the City Walls and the Chora Church, then visit the Suleymaniye Mosque and the Pera District. Day 5: Istanbul / Cappadocia
Board an early morning flight to Cappadocia to see the rock-carved churches at Goreme. Retire to your boutique hotel, renovated from authentic Cappadocian housing. Anatolian Houses B

Day 6: Cappadocia
This morning you may choose an optional hot-air ballooning excursion over Cappadocia. Then, explore the underground village of Kaymakli. After lunch, visit the potters of Avanos, who have practiced their craft for more than 4,000 years. Anatolian Houses B L

Day 7: Cappadocia / Izmir / Ephesus / Kusadasi

Day 8: Kusadasi / Bodrum
